The Excitement is Mounting! [Contest]

The contest is ready, I've collected prizes from some amazing group members, have the deadline for the first section set, and am ready to start.

It's not going to begin quite yet, but I will tell you what will be happening, and what kind of contest it is. This is for ARTISTS AND WRITERS!

But it's divided into two. No interaction here, til' the very end, where you'll get a taste of the next contest.

The prizes will be this:


1st prize (Artist and Writer): 200 pt prize, courtesy of :icontadpole7:

2nd prize (Artist and Writer): 50 pt prize, courtesy of :icontadpole7:

1st prize (Artist): Digital full color drawing, courtesy of :iconarnaldomachado:

1st prize (Writer): A short story for almost anything, courtesy of :iconhorishige: (Me)

On the 1st prize for artists only, no demons or anything over-sexed, and you will discuss that with him.
On the 1st prize for writers only, I will not do anything sexual(not the slightest bit), and demons are up for discussion.

The contest itself is a battle contest, artist vs. artist, writer vs. writer.

In this journal you will comment below whether or not you will be entering, and what as (artist or writer, respectively).

I'll be using a bracket type thing, which you will all be able to see. I already have the judging thing ready. The contest isn't starting yet, I just want to know who is entering so I can organize and such.

Another Concept  Another Concept

 Story basis: During a major war between several nations, one nation decided to make artificial beings known as Homunculus (plural Homunculi) or golem (whichever makes you sleep better at night)…The story starts with a newly created homunculus refuses to fight despite being created for that exact reason. The scientists try to eliminate because they accidentally gave it a free will. The golem escapes using its immense strength and leaves to area. The kingdom believes how this is a problem since they think that another warring nation will capture it and makes it fight against its will instead of their side.

In the not to distant future, there are beings that live inside the shadows that prey on humans. The world government created soldiers to combat the beings that have been dubbed the title "Walkers", in order to prevent casualties. They were given a number of 1 to 100 (odd numbers were male, even numbers were female) based off their creation. Each number creates a weapon based off the same material of the Walkers in order to exterminate the threats.  The leader known as the "Queen" surfaced and attacked the normal world leading out to an all out brawl, but it came at a price. Birthplace: Caldus, Ferrara (a small town in Ferrara that is closer to the Piscis River - which is used for ships and fishing - than any other town)

The CobrasJason found himself dragging his feet home from another failed job interview... this was the fourth one this week! He really needed to get a job soon... he had bills to pay, and the last thing he needed was to wake up realizing he had no running water or electricity... or, heavens forbid, no INTERNET! What would he do without internet? He shuddered as he considered how bland and terrible his life would be without the one place in the world he found refuge!
Jason was frustrated with society. For some reason, he just never got along with people. Everyone always gave him that look of pity, as if he was beyond help.
So what if he couldn't speak?
A voice doesn't mean anything right? Actions should speak louder than words, right? But no! He can't even get a decent job after moving to East City, simply because of a minor nuisance. That's why Jason loved the internet; it gave him a voice without him needing one.

ChangeThe beast gave a last mournful whine before its body turned to ash and disappeared. The black blood on the ground slowly dissipated, until finally all trace of the demon had been eradicated.  Ladon wiped the dark blood from his katana and sheathed the blade before sending the sword back to its storage dimension.  Quite inconvenient of the beast. He would be late now if he did not hurry. He straightened his tie and walked to the train station.
As he boarded the train, other passengers leaned away as he walked past to an open seat.  The seats next to him quickly vacated. A woman scolded her child when the child stared and muttered an apology bChange by ~RyoYamaki

"Everyone! Gas masks on!" The teacher's voice echoed carrying wind throughout the training grounds. Baggy blue boots crunched the cindered leaves on the path beneath the midday sun. Hissing began to rumble amongst the young audience. The teacher raised her hand in dismay. Lifting up her gas mask, she announces, "Go ahead Psyva."

Standing before the target posted on an old tree, Psyva stumps her foot with authority. She throws her head back while shouting, "Acid of the Poison Dragon!"

Her teacher jumping in the background yelling, "Not that!"

When they arrived at her new patient’s home, Suki could already see the fog. It was always like this around sickly people; the air was heavy with humidity. She gripped Mai’s hand. Mai was her best friend, although her parent’s had called her ‘imaginary’ she was very real.
   
“Are you ready, sweetheart?” her mother, Tilly asked. Suki just nodded her head. This was routine for her. Nothing could really frighten her at this point.  
   
The man they came to see, Oscar, had been ill for some time. His fever had only recently become life threatening. That was why Suki was there. She was only calledDream Healer by ~Mizushima-Hikaru

I myself am still judging. I haven't been able to be on much due to having finals after finals after finals after finals at school :( But I will definitely be done with my portion of the judging sometime during the weekend! I promise you!
